** BREAKING NEWS! ** West Coast Kart Club is introducing a new volunteer program!
As you all know our club is ran entirely on the hard work of our volunteers. Basically, if we have no volunteers, there will be no track, or any racing! We all know most of our members have little to no time to come out and race, let alone volunteer valuable time to support the club. In order to award those who step forward WCKC introduces the volunteer award program. This is how it works:
A person can volunteer for half or full days. By doing so he/she can accumulate credits. 1 credit for half day, 2 credits for full day. Sign up for the year for a specific job, and fulfill at least 80% of the years job (let’s say 8 out of 10 races) and you get 2 credits bonus at the end of the season.
Secondary, WCKC will pay out $ 40 expense refund to cover your expenses such a fuel, lunch etc. You will have to volunteer for at least a full day during one of our race weekends in order to receive the expense refund (The person mowing the complete track and rear field will also receive the expense refund.)

Points Earnings Schedule:

Half day: 1 credit, no expense refund
Full day: 2 credits, $40 expense refund
Mow track 2 credits $40 expense refund
Executive board (full year)* 10 credits

Commit for the year (scales, Scoring etc) do at least 80% and you get 2 bonus credits at the end of the season! Credits are handed out at the end of race weekend. You will receive a Credit Card format pass (like the race discount ones) in either 1,2,5 and 10 credits/club points. Cards are numbered and submitted once.
Now you have all these points, this is what you can do with them. Bring your point card and redeem them for the following:

Second class 1 credit
WCKC T-Shirt 1 credit
Race entry: 3 credits
Upgrade from basic to practice membership: 14 credits
Set of VEGA tires: 10 credits
RaceNow entry: 10 credits
8’x 10’ storage: 18 credits

We are negotiating with our dealers to add more ways to redeem your points for other goodies!

A few rules:

-You can’t “top up” by paying half cash, half credits. If you don’t have enough point for something like a membership upgrade, you will need to earn a few more.
-You can’t redeem on a basic membership. The $100 basic membership always needs to be paid.
-Credits have no cash value.
-All credits expire Feb 28 2018, but can be used for 2018 membership if purchased before feb. 28.
-Are transferable, can be given to family member, friend etc.
-No “refunds” and if you lose the card, sorry no replacements.
In order to fund this program WCKC will have to increase the race fee’s for members and non-members with a $ 10 increase per entry. The program will take effect May 1st 2017.
*Executive credits will take effect in 2018 season.
